Last Thursday was Dye Day and we had a lot of fun with friends, food dye and wool.
Thanks to Em for hosting and taking the above photos, one of which I shamelessly snitched straight from her blog :) It was wonderful to catch up with friends and create something with the children too.
Possum's wool above ready for me to knit into something and efforts from some of the others drying below.
It is wonderful to see all the different shades and colours produced all from food dye.
If you would like to have a go at dying your own wool using food dye, Suse has a great tutorial.
It looks fantastic Becky!
ReplyDeleteI love the look on Possum's face.
I still haven't knitted mine up but now I can look forward to seeing what yours becomes.
Have a wonderful week.
What a fun day! Great way to involve the kids in your love of yarn crafts!! Any ideas on what you will make?
ReplyDelete:) looks like you had so much fun - I think that I might have to do this with my two soon:)
ReplyDeleteWow Becky! Looks like everyone had a great time and what a great end result. Can't wait to try it myself. Thanks for the link to the tute! Kx.
