Advent #4 ~ Cards

I think I am paper crafted out for awhile.

Kids Craft Weekly Christmas card swap made and posted off.
Possum had lots of fun sticking the paper onto the fronts, I added a fabric Christmas tree sewn onto the inside.  We both enjoyed receiving our first return swap card this morning!

And better late than never, thank you cards for all the well wishes received when Baby Bug was born just over 4 months ago.  The sewing machine was put to good use here too, as was the hot glue gun and button collection.

Cute aren't they?
I got the inspiration from here

Next task is Christmas cards, but I am not making them.
Maybe next year...

WIP Wednesday ~ March 25th

I love WIP Wednesday, it is when I get to make myself feel better as while I may not have anything to add the the tick list, I am still productive!

I am knitting a pair of longies for our due in August Bub. I had made slightly more progress on this but a lost stitch bought me undone and I lost a few rows in trying to make a recovery... Still, it is going ahead so I can't complain too much!

I have also done my recipe swap cards for March. I have the cards from the last two months here as I don't think I ever blogged February's efforts.

They are shown below, front and then back.
February's theme was Cocktails and March is Party Cakes/Food

Baubles

I found these little glass baubles at Spotlight after a tip on EB so I set off to see what I could do with them.

I spent an hour curling small strips of Christmas paper into each bauble until they were full. These photos do not really do them justice, they actually look really soft and pretty and I am considering buying another set.

Can you believe I have already broken one! I tapped it to prove to my brother that it really was made out of glass... I am such a dork and should not be allowed to stay up past Big Dog for fear of doing something silly!

I also heard round the traps that Harvey Normal has clear Baubles that split in half and let you insert a photo so will have to check those out as well.
