Because as soon as I confessed to sewing failure I had the urge to sew!
This is the cupcake dress from the Make it Perfect book.
The pattern was simple and very quick. Even better is knowing that for the first time I used my new overlocker to finish all the seams properly so I know this dress is well made. I have not had much of a play with the overlocker yet so it was fun (and a bit frightening!) to use it for proper sewing.
A great way to dress up a cheap t-shirt into a comfy and stylish girls dress. I will make this again!
So cute! I made Maya one with a singlet top and that was great too. I have overlocker envy :)
ReplyDeleteLove it! And certainly beats tyring to thread that bloody elastic into a waist band!!
ReplyDeleteSo cute! And even cuter with the boots!
ReplyDeleteI am waiting for my copy of Make it Perfect to arrive in my letterbox. Great job on the skirt.
ReplyDeleteSo cute:) Well done - Now I am the only sewing failure (and knitting one too - have lost all motivation for things of the crafty type)
ReplyDeleteThis would be great made with a long sleeved t-shirt and worn with stockings and boots for winter :) I love it... Yet another reason why I should buy that book!!!!
ReplyDeletethis is adorable, love it so much
ReplyDeleteI love this pattern, I made a long sleeve one and B wears it all the time, have one cut out for a birthday gift too, just needs sewing together... very cute.
ReplyDeleteI think I'm going to have to find a copy of that book at my library. The dress is super cute!
ReplyDeleteSo very very lovely!!!
ReplyDeleteIsn't this dress awesome? So cute and so quick to make. The best part - being able to re-use t-shirts that are too short!
ReplyDeleteGORGEOUS! Thanks for sharing Becky :)
