On the Shelf ~ June 2nd

I am still trying to fool myself that I am in the running to read 100 books this year as per the challenge described in THIS post.

The latest few are listed below...

MAY/JUNE cont.
33. Fishing for Stars ~ Bryce Courtenay
34. Truckers ~ Terry Pratchett
35. Meet me at Mike's ~ Pip Lincolne
36. Sewing in no time ~ Emma Hardy

Meet me at Mike's is full of great crafty ideas! 26 projects in total so there is plenty to work on. I have several projects book marked for future rainy days and spare moments. A softie wheat bag friend, baby yoga pants, Cow softie, fabric clocks, so much to choose from that I am not sure which one to start with...

None of which will help me read more books to reach my 100 :(

If I could count books read to Miss Possum as well I would be well and truly over 100 book for the year already. In the last week I have read: A Lion in the night, Time for Bed, Fancy that, Mr McGee goes to sea, I wish I had a Pirate suit, Shoes from Grandpa, Wombat divine, The tale of Peter Rabbit, Hairy Maclary from Donaldson's Dairy and others...

  1. Ha! ha! I hear you with the kiddies books. I probably read at least three or four a day! After signing up to the challenge, hubby snickered and remarked that there is no way I'd have time to read eight books a month! Unfortunately I think he's right. :(
I'm aiming for four a month instead which I managed to do for May, but for Jan-April I'm already waaaaay behind.
You seem to be doing really well though... keep it up!

  3. I figure craft books count if I take the time to read each project with a cuppa in hand while thinking about what to make first :)

Quick flicking doesn't count, I save that for the library LOL
