Baby Bug:
8.5 lbs ~ 50.5 cm long
My plan:
Have baby Wednesday, come home Thursday afternoon...
What actually happened:
Went to hospital Wednesday, had an emergency Cesarean Thursday lunchtime. Baby bug whisked off to SCN and I met him THREE long hours later.
Both came home Sunday and now doing well, although I am sore and sorry for myself.
Feeling more mobile each day and will be back into the swing of things soon (touch wood).
Congratulations on your beautiful little baby bug Becky. Sorry to hear that all didn't go smoothly for you all but so pleased that you're all home safe and sound together now. Best wishes.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to you, Mr Becky and Possum, and welcome to your baby bug.
ReplyDeleteA year later, those 4 and a bit hours I had to wait to meet my baby girl still make my heart ache but boy, oh boy, she was worth the wait. If we could change things, of course we would but to hear that you're home and doing well is great news.
Well done - the bug looks beautiful. So pleased you are both well, not pleased the plan didn't work. Still, small price to pay for such a fabulous outcome.
ReplyDeleteOuch and a huge congratulations on such a beautiful bubba. Hope you all recover quickly.
ReplyDeleteOh, I'm so sorry that all didn't go as planned.
ReplyDeleteBut pleased as punch to hear you are all ok ... and what a beautiful boy the Little Bug is :-)
Congratulations, and take care. x
Congratulations Becky!!!!
ReplyDeleteOh isn't he beautiful! Look at that fuzzy blond hair!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to all of you.
I'm sorry too that it didn't go as planned.
Glad that you're well and home.
Welcome home Becky. He's a sweetie. Enjoy!
ReplyDeletehe's scrumptious, lucky you!
ReplyDeleteCongrats Becky to you all! Sorry to hear to didn't go to plan but wonderful that you are both safe and well now - I bet Miss Possum is in love with her gorgeous little brother : )
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! I discovered last year that birthing plans are purely for amusement - reality didn't behave for me, that's for sure! BUT I am so enjoying having a healthy, happy baby, even though the planned completely natural birth became anything but.
ReplyDeleteI hope your recovery is fast and you're feeling vaguely recognisable soon! I'm impressed that your brain is working well enough to post already ;-)
Welcome to the world little man - sound like you gave your mum a few scares.
ReplyDeleteHope that everything is improving. Take it easy and if you need anything (not sure that I can help too much from this far away) but c-section advise I can give.
Love to all
Congratulations on your gorgeous little boy, take time to enjoy him and make sure you have plenty of help around for the next couple of months while you get back on your feet.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the birth of your newest buby!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Becky and family on the arrival of your beautiful little bloke! Well done!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Becky! He is adorable.
ReplyDeleteWelcome home, darlings. When yo u said he was blond, I didn't think he was a Norseman! Maybe you should rethink the name and call him Lars or something! Something in the post in the not too distant future...
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on baby bug's safe arrival :)
ReplyDeleteLook at his fuzzy hair! Awwww! Congrats Becky. Sorry it didn't go quite to plan for you though. x
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Becky - so sweet - regardless of how the 'plans' went I am sure he's worth it!
ReplyDeleteWell done on a lovely baby boy! Does he have a name yet? I hope you are feeling better every day and can put any dashed dreams of birthing out of your head, and just enjoy each day as it comes! Life just got a little bit more crazy now with two, but it is so worth it.
ReplyDeleteCongrats!! I hope you recover soon. Enjoy!! big hug
