My Creative Space

House sorting for the move has begun and for the small people in the house this is very exciting.  Treasures have been found underfoot and Mum (being me) is into something that they must be a part of.

To try to keep them amused elsewhere I pitched the tent in the backyard.  This worked well for the first little while but I didn't realise that the tent might be fun, but it would be more fun if Mum was in it too.

We all spent a bit of time camping out for some quiet time yesterday and it may not have been in my plan, but it was fun.

With the house sorting has come extra washing as spare beds are pulled apart.  Possum now loves to help and I love seeing how she pegs things on her small clothesline.  Each item does indeed have a peg, even if it acts as ballast rather than an actual anchor point...  Lucky it was not a windy day!

I found that little person's line at a garage sale for $10 and I am glad to see it is starting to be put to use by someone other than me on a big washing day.

  1. Looks like you have a fantastic little helper there! I am dying to get one of those little person lines!

  2. I too have been looking for one of those washing lines - they are great. Funny how unplanned things, such as mum in the tent too, turn out to be so much fun. x

  3. Happy moving, we do it every 2 years, interstate & it's a great way to flush out all those no-longer-needed children things. We move light, well VERY light if it didn't include all my craft!! My cross to bare. Much easier to pack while they are at school as opposed to when they were younger & would question everything. Shame so many things get 'lost' in the move, like broken toys they refused to part with. I'm tough. Love Posie

  4. I think I'll need one of those lines in a few months. My little 'helper' likes to get very involved, so something like that will be perfect!

  6. LOL that is such good helping! Funny how they love to help until they are actually old enough to be helpful you should hear the wailing and gnashing of teeth when I ask my lot to do anything!

Good luck with it all - Love the tent idea - Amelia and Baden are a little hookedon tents at the moment - might have to see if I can pick up a little cheap one (our camper is just a tad big to bring into my pint sized back yard (oh to have a back yard:)
