Beanie

In addition to being a beginner sewer, I am also learning to knit. To date I have managed a scarf, a tea cosy, a beanie for myself, and now a beanie for Miss almost 1.

I try to make sure that each project I start teaches me at least one new thing, for this beanie it was ribbing. Not sure what I will work on next, but Dad has put an order in for a beanie in time for Winter so will keep an eye out for the right yarn for that project.

I have joined the local branch of the NSW knitters guild and made it to their last meeting for 2008 so am looking forward to being inspired in 2009 by all the talented ladies in the area.

  4. How cute is she in that beanie - it is sure to keep her head warm when winter rolls around this year. Humm - you could try cables for your dad's beanie in Jet on thinkier needles. Will search for a pattern for you if you like!
