Sunday Stash

Oh how I love these two fabrics!  Both are Spotlight cottons and I got them very cheap on the sale rack for $3/m for the kitties and a tad more for the babies.

West 22nd CX3423 BABY'S DAY

I am in the process of making Possum a dress using the babies before she is too old for such prints.

My photos do not really do these prints justice, feel free to give me photography tips!

Sunday Stash bought to you by 1/4 of an inch

I will draw a winner for my GIVEAWAY this evening, put you name down if you have not already :)

Advent #4 ~ Cards

I think I am paper crafted out for awhile.

Kids Craft Weekly Christmas card swap made and posted off.
Possum had lots of fun sticking the paper onto the fronts, I added a fabric Christmas tree sewn onto the inside.  We both enjoyed receiving our first return swap card this morning!

And better late than never, thank you cards for all the well wishes received when Baby Bug was born just over 4 months ago.  The sewing machine was put to good use here too, as was the hot glue gun and button collection.

Cute aren't they?
I got the inspiration from here

Next task is Christmas cards, but I am not making them.
Maybe next year...

Some light on the subject...

I was recently contacted by Maree from Buyster Lighting about doing a product review.
After having a look around their website at all the wonderful products I said yes.

I chose the Elan Lutece Floor Lamp to review as my lounge room is a bit dark and is the room of the house that would most benefit from a lift with extra lighting.

I think having this lamp is the reason I managed to finish my Milo Vest for Possum so quickly! I used it every night and got more knitting done than I expected :)

As far as my experience with Buyster Lighting went:
  • Selection was easy with the site being a breeze to navigate.
  • Communication with Buyster was excellent.
  • Shipping was fast and I had my lamp on my doorstep.
  • The lamp itself is wonderful.
I was surprised that it takes a 100w globe so casts a lot of light which is just what I needed! The specification page on the web said it was a 60w max so that was an added bonus. It is very solid on it's base and the white shade looks great with my decor. Ha Ha, I say decor as if my furniture matches and isn't covered in baby spit!

Would I use Buyster again? Yes, and given that I have not done my Christmas shopping as yet, I may need to!!

The List ~ Take 2

As per this post last week, baby knickers are still NOT on my to do list...
So why can't I stop making them?

This fabric was an op shop find. Cute yellow, kittens and little characters, adorable!

'Tis the season.  Reindeer bloomers :)

Advent Day 2 ~ Hot & Not

Day 2 of the Advent Blog-a-long has me again visiting the Hot and Not meme hosted by Loobylu.  What is Hot, or Not, in your house?

HOT
*Christmas!!  Getting close now and I really should get organised with my gift buying, and making...

*Mail.  I received the below package from Tinniegirl as part of Blogtober's giveaway fun.  The universe is leaving me nice messages and we are enjoying the mixed CD too.  Just in time to refresh my playlist for the Christmas driving and visiting period :)

*Spotlight.  I know, strange!  I really like these cottons I picked up at Spotlight with my two discount vouchers yesterday.  I also like the discount vouchers so that is two ticks for Spotlight this round.

NOT
*Spelling.  I know I was not really paying attention in class when the teacher covered the basics, so my spelling is often not the best.  At least I try....

I h8 reading wot u have 2 say if u type like this.  Wot r u thinking?  I have had enuf!

If this style was from a teen via a text message I would put up with it, but it came from an adult in a forum, and for some reason that makes me a little sad :(

Giveaway

My blog has recently turned one, so better late than never, I thought I should have a giveaway!

I am going to giveaway this rectangular vintage tablecloth.  I love it, who would have thought that the colours brown, orange, yellow and purple would work well together :)
In the true spirit of Christmas I may even toss in a couple of extra goodies too!

Just leave a comment and a way of contacting you and I will draw the winner on Sunday 6th December. Mention this giveaway on your blog and let me know that you have and I will add an extra entry to the hat for you.

Thank you to everyone who has read, commented, or even just called in over the last 12 months.
xx

In other exciting news ;) today is the first day of the advent-blog-along.
Are you playing?

I am not sure I will be able to post everyday, it is such a busy time of year, but I am looking forward to seeing what everyone else is up to and maybe getting some extra Christmas cheer as well.
